The Galla goat is a large, hardy breed from the Horn of Africa, known for its milk and meat production, especially in arid and semi-arid regions. They are typically white-haired with black skin on the muzzle, feet, and under the tail, though variations exist. Females weigh (45-55) kg, while males can reach up to (70) kg. They are long-lived, docile, drought-resistant, and can recover quickly after dry seasons, making them well-suited for hot, dry climates.
