They are valued for their high milk production, rapid maturity, high meat yield, and adaptability to hot, dry environments. Key characteristics include a white coat with specific black markings on the nose, feet, and under the tail, a long body for browsing high vegetation, docility, and the ability to survive long periods of drought with compensatory growth.
